Christina Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York. Many years later her family settled in Pittsburgh. Since she was a five little girl, she knew all the songs from The Sound of Music and performed them at parties.

In short time after, Christina was a US national anthem performer at sporting events in the area.

Christina Aguilera's Big Break

When Christina was just nine years old, she had her first major appearance on the Star Search television show. Unfortunately, she wasn't the winnner, but determined Christina Aguilera didn't stop to love the music of Etta James, Billie Holiday and Barbara Streisand. When Christina was ten years old she went to an open audition for The Mickey Mouse Club. Again she didn't make it, but two years later Disney invited Christina Aguilera back. Christina Aguilera became a Mouseketeer joining nice company of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (of *NSYNC ) and Keri Russell from Felicity. Christina Aguilera sang, danced and performed her heart out during her two years on the show.
