Smiling and waving to her adoring fans, Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon were spotted walking hand-in-hand into Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night (February 4).

Hitting the famous Asian eatery while in town for the Grammys, Nick was ever-the-gentleman as her escorted his lady by opening her door and keeping her close to his side.

From worst actress to Sundance sensation

Mariah Carey has gone from debuting in one of the worst pictures of the year 2001 to a movie that was a critical and audience sensation in the recent Sundance Film Festival.

Yes, Mariah may now live down the ignominy of “Glitter,” which earned a Razzie Award nomination for the Worst Picture of the Year and gave her a Worst Actress prize. She is in the cast of “Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire,” which was a big hit in Sundance and won the jury and audience awards. It was only the third time in the 25-year history of the festival that the same movie captured both plums.

Mariah, along with her cast mates — Mo’Nique, Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe, Lenny Kravitz and Paula Patton — are winning rave reviews. “Push: Based...” reportedly is so good that Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, through their respective companies, have jumped in to help Lionsgate— which nabbed the film’s distribution rights—promote the movie.

Variety quoted Oprah as saying about the drama: “I’ve never seen anything like it. The moment I saw ‘Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire’ I knew I wanted to do whatever I could to encourage other people to see this movie. The film is so raw and powerful—it split me open

Mariah to Duet with Nick's Brother?

Mariah Carey is keeping it all in the family. E! News has learned the R&B diva is lending her pipes to promote the new album from Reuben Cannon, aka the younger brother of Mr. Mariah, Nick Cannon.

"Reuben and Mariah are doing a duet together for Reuben's first album," an industry source tells us. "They are meeting at the end of the month with Mariah's record label, Universal Music Group, to seal the deal, and Reuben is thrilled."

Reuben Cannon was recently signed with Lavert Entertainment and is halfway through recording his album, slated for release later this year.

There was no comment on the collaboration from the Carey and Cannon camps, but a Reuben rep wasn't beyond teasing, saying, "Reuben Cannon is working on some really amazing things right now."

Mariah Carey Plays Supporting Role In Film That Debuted At Sundance

Singer Mariah Carey has taken a break from her music career to try her hand at a movie career once again. In a role far from the lead role she played in "Glitter," Mariah has opted for a supporting role in the movie "Push," which made its debut at Sundance.

"Push" is about a young, obsessed teenager, named Precious Jones who is twice impregnated by her father and is beaten by her mother. The lead role is played by an unknown actress from Harlem named Gabourney Sidibe. Carey plays a welfare case worker, Mrs. Weiss, who unravels the horrible abuse and tragedy in Precious' home life.

Mariah is not the only star power in the movie. Rocker Lenny Kravitz plays a small role in the film as a nurse's aide who helps Precious deliver her second child.

Despite the dark subject matter of the film, it does contain some comic scenes, revolving around dream sequences. "Push" is based on the controversial novel by New York writer, Sapphire, whose real name is Ramona Lofton. While controversial, the novel made it to the New York Times Bestseller list.

The filmmakers are still in talks with studios to find a distributor.

"My Love" Featuring Mariah to Impact Radio on Jan. 27

The-Dream's new single "My Love" featuring Mariah Carey, from his sophomore album Love & Money, is scheduled to go for adds at Top 40/Mainstream radio on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, according to the newly-updated New Releases list from All Access.

Love & Money is due out in stores on Tuesday, February 17, 2009.
