Internet Education
From our daily life we learn that we are loved for our abilities but hated for our disabilities. This happens at
home, at play, at school, and at work. So, we try to hide our disabilities from people and from ourselves.
This charade undermines our relationships and our self-esteem. We learn to fear society and hate ourselves.
In all this situations, we have a friend: the doctor.
Many, many doctors are open to people. we need their help to get specialist support, to be our advocate,
to smooth our path through the health care process. They will be our best ally. And so is the office staff.
Treat them all with courtesy and respect, and as you would want to be treated.
So until you have a serious talk with your doctor about your disabilities, leave your
Internet research out of
the picture. Use it jut for your education. Do not take the treatment yourself.
